Maricopa Community Theatre holding auditions for next production

Maricopa Community Theatre will begin holding auditions tomorrow for their next production, which will run in January and February.

MCT is looking for 21 cast members for Pride and Prejudice, a Victorian romantic comedy based on Jane Austen's original novel. Auditions will be held October 10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, and 19th at MCT's new facility, 41600 West Smith-Enke Road, Building #12, Suite #129.

Cast needed is as follows:

4 women between the ages of 20-30
3 women between the ages of 14-18
1 girl between the age of 10-12
4 women between the ages of 45-60
3 men between the ages of 50-60
4 men between the ages of 20-35

There are also two small "gender-neutral" parts (one with a few lines) to be filled by anyone over the age of 15, plus extras are needed for dance numbers.

Actors actual ages do not have to be the same as the characters they are portraying.

To get involved, first prepare a 1 to 2 minute comedic monologue and be prepared to cold read from the script. Then go to the MCT website to book an audition time. The Scheduler software is including dates that auditions are not being held, so make sure to select a date from the ones listed on their page.
