Ultra-Star Ak-Chin hosting kick-off event for Scottsdale Showdown

The UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle transforms its amphitheater into a country festival for all ages on October 11th at 5:00 pm as it hosts a Western-themed event in anticipation of the upcoming Scottsdale Showdown.

The family-friendly kick-off event will include an authentic chuck wagon and features an appearance by Tuff Hedeman, Championship CBR Bull Rider. ”The Dina Preston Band,” winner of the 2012 Gig Master Award, will entertain guests with a mix of Country and Southern Rock music. Concessions will be available including BBQ, and a variety of other food and beverages.

All venues at the center (including bowling, arcade, laser tag, restaurants, lounge and movies) will be open as usual for business during the event.

“As an enterprise of the Ak-Chin Indian Community, we are excited to have the opportunity to throw our own pre-party in anticipation of the Scottsdale Showdown, a first-ever Championship Bull Riding event at WestWorld,” said Adam Saks, the center's general manager and vice president of operations.

KMLE Country 107.9 will be on-site with a live remote hosted by Bo Hunter and offering a chance to win free tickets to The Scottsdale Showdown.

The Ak-Chin Indian Community is sponsoring the Scottsdale Showdown, which is being produced by the Scottsdale Charros.

The UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle is located at 16000 North Maricopa Road, just south of Farrell Road.  The event is this Friday, October 11th, from 5:00 to 10:00 pm, and admission is free.  Food and drink will be available for purchase.
