Ride for Toys event to benefit F.O.R. Maricopa

The Maricopa Fire Department is partnering with City of Maricopa, F.O.R. Maricopa and the Professional Fire Fighters of Maricopa Local 4561 to host the city’s inaugural Ride for Toys.

On Saturday, December 14th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, at Pacana Park, 19000 North Porter Road, anyone that donates a new, unwrapped toy will receive a ride in a Maricopa Fire Department fire truck.

The event will take place in the south parking lot of Pacana Park and include Santa and Mrs Claus in their North Pole Mobile Command trailer. Santa will be available for photographs and will also hear wish list requests from good little girls and boys. Attendees will need to bring personal cameras if they would like to have a picture taken with Santa.

Those attending are asked to enter off of North Adams Lane and park in the southwest area of the parking lot. Overflow parking can be found at the Saddleback Elementary School parking lot on the south side of Adams Lane.

All collected toys will be distributed by F.O.R. Maricopa to local community members during the holiday season. Nonperishable food items and monetary donations will also be accepted, however toys are preferred. Toys may also be dropped at any of the four fire stations listed below.
