Copper Sky Grand Opening to be held March 15th
Maricopa's new Copper Sky Recreation Complex (Multigenerational Center, Aquatic Center and Regional Park), located off of State Route 347 and Bowlin Road, will be having its Grand Opening event on Saturday, March 15th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The community is invited to attend this event and get a first inside look by touring the new facility. Interested visitors will also be able to learn more about the complex amenities as well as sign up for memberships; however no amenities will be available for use on this day.
The following day, March 16th, the complex will be open for business and operate during regular business hours. Members will be able to start using their Multigenerational Center amenities while the Aquatic Facility will open later on Memorial Day for the start of the regular swim season. You can however check out the Aquatic area which features an eight-lane, 25-yard lap pool with two 1-meter diving boards, a leisure pool with a waterslide, a rock-climbing wall and lazy river, along with an interactive splash pad for kids.
The Multigenerational Center features top-of-the-line fitness equipment including a variety of treadmills, elliptical machines, and stationary and spinning bikes. It will also include resistance training machines, free-weights, elevated running/walking track, indoor basketball courts, and so much more.
Membership pre-sales for the Copper Sky Multigenerational Center is open now and will continue through February 27th at the Maricopa City Hall. A special gift is being offered to the first 100 annual memberships sold. Anyone interested in signing up early should visit the Community Services Desk at City Hall Monday-Thursday between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. Membership sales will continue at the Grand Opening of the Multigenerational Center on March 15th.
